Abu Dhabi hotels post 12% increase in Feb occupancy rates

(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) stated that during February, hotel occupancy increased 12 percent to 78 percent with an increase in average room rate by 7 percent to USD150, reported Emirates 24/7.

According to TCA Abu Dhabi, the capital hotels’ total revenue in February grew 7 percent to USD137 million compared to the same period last year. Room revenue increased 31 percent to USD76.9 million

Moreover, food and beverage returns climbed 14 percent to USD48.4 million, accounting for 35.4 percent of overall revenues.

It added that Abu Dhabi’s 141 hotels and hotel apartments generated double digit growth in guest nights, revenue, occupancy and average-length-of-stay during the first two months of 2013 from 2012 same period.

It’s worth mentioning that Abu Dhabi’s hotels and hotel apartments received 196,518 guests last month, with guest nights growing 23 percent to 676,445.
