(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Airports Company (Adac) said that last month, passenger traffic at the capital’s International Airport jumped 16 percent from 2010’s same period to over 1 million passengers, reported Emirates 24/7.
Adac added that the increase in the number of passengers was driven by travelers who came to attend the F1 season which took place around Abu Dhabi, moreover, the month also witnessed the Hajj season, which raised passenger traffic.
It also said that the top 5 routes in the month were Doha, London Heathrow, Bangkok, Manila and Manama, that combined claimed 20 percent of the total passenger traffic for November.
It is worth noting that cargo traffic in the period grew 7 percent over last year’s same period reaching more than 42,000 tons of handled freight.
