(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) stated that Abu Dhabi International airport saw over 1.2 million travelers passing through the facility in February, recording a 13.1 percent growth compared to the same period in 2012, reported Arabian Business.
Meanwhile, the award winning airport’s flights movements grew by 7.5 percent in February, compared to the same month in 2012 and reached a total of 9,960 flights, while cargo volume rose by 16.7 percent, hitting 50,020 tons.
According to ADAC estimates, India got the highest traffic record for the capital’s airport last month, trailed by Germany, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan
It’s worth mentioning that Abu Dhabi is on the move to be an international hub and flourishing destination for global tourism by increasing its airport capacity to 40 million passengers a year.
