Abu Dhabi logs 21 percent jump in hotel guests over summer

(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi has enjoyed a 21 percent increase in its hotel check-ins throughout the summer season as opposed to last year’s figures, according to recent reports.

Nearly 952,000 guests checked into the city’s vast 169 hotels and hotel apartments, marking a dramatic growth in the number of domestic, regional, and foreign visitors.

In particular, the total of Indian visitors reflected the biggest rise, climbing 29.8 percent to 68,618 from 52,852 in 2014, while America’s visitors logged a 24.4 percent surge to 45,125.

Regionally, Visitors from across the GCC, excluding the UAE, improved by 9.8 percent to 79,086 from last year whereas Europe’s tourists soared by 18.1 percent to 125,098.
