(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi government has opened a new 62-km highway road, connecting the UAE capital to Dubai in line with its 2030 objectives of establishing network for the emirate’s residents.
In addition, the highway is one of the massive infrastructure projects implemented under Abu Dhabi 2030 Urban Structure Framework Plan (Capital 2030).
Accordingly, the Abu Dhabi Council will play a main role in developing the route of the new road in co-op with the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT).
The road also represents a model for all future roads in Abu Dhabi, and will also foster the development of new residential areas, like South Al Shamkha.
