(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) announced it has leased a land to Topaz Marine Engineering Division, one of the Middle East’s leading marine engineering services, for the purpose of establishing a ship-repairing facility, Khaleej Times reported.
The new facility, which will be located close to Abu Dhabi’s main shipping lanes, will serve vessels operating within or passing through Abu Dhabi waters.
Meanwhile, TMED said it is going to employ a highly-skilled ship repair team of over 150 people to operate the new facility, which will offers a comprehensive range of world-class services, including afloat repair, workshop and underwater repairs, fuel injection, and boiler services.
The facility will be set up in a way to provide a support to the Abu Dhabi and the UAE marine sector and complements ADPC’s service offerings in the free port, according to ADPC.
