(MENAFN) Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD) announced that the emirate’s inflation in November rose 0.8 percent, with the consumer price index (CPI) standing at 123.6 points, compared with 2011’s same period of 122.6 points, reported Gulf News.
The agency said that prices at restaurants and hotels jumped 14.5 percent; while prices of clothing and footwear were up by 4 percent, and prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco grew by 11.7 percent.
Moreover, prices of furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance gained 1.7 percent; nevertheless, prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group fell 1.3 percent.
It is worth noting that in the January-November period, the average consumer prices edged up by 1.2 percent from last year’s same period.
