(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi tourism officials are set to launch their largest promotion drive in Saudi Arabia, as the Gulf emirate seeks to boost the number of visitors from the oil-rich kingdom, Arabian Business reported.
Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) will conduct the roadshow in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam starting on August 26.
The TCA Abu Dhabi promotion delegation comprises more than 20 of the emirate’s tourism leaders, including airlines, hotels, attractions, and tour operators.
Among the roadshow participants is Etihad Airways, which operates 42 weekly services to three Saudi cities, including 13 flights to both Riyadh and Jeddah and 16 services to Dammam.
According to recent statistics, Saudi hotel guests in Abu Dhabi increased by 36 percent in to 36,430 during the first half of 2012 year-on-year.
