(MENAFN) King’s Academy in Jordan has inked a deal with Acwa Power, a pioneering developer to design, develop and build a solar photovoltaic facility (PV) on the school’s campus.
Additionally, the total cost of the 2.6MW plant has been donated by Acwa Power to King’s Academy at USD4mn, which will offset the equivalent of 2.300 metric tons of CO2.
Accordingly, the school’s operational costs will be notably reduced by moving to clean and sustainable energy upon completion of this project.
Furthermore, almost 42 percent of King’s students deliver some of financial assistance, while without this kind of help King”s Academy would not be able to continue offering a first-rate education to young people.
