(MENAFN) Aluminium Bahrain Company (Alba) reported its first half results. The company announced a net income of USD163 million, Bahrain News Agency reported.
The company reported a net income increase of 7 percent. The company’s net income were at USD163 million for the six months ending June 30, compared to USD151 million in the same period the year before.
Sales for the first half of this year were at USD1.017 billion compared to USD1.018 billion in the same period last year.
Global year-on-year demand went up by 4.8 percent. Demand in Asia increased by 7 percent and North America by 2 percent.
The Bahrain-based company increased its production by 2 percent and its sales went up by 1.9 percent.
