Aramco eyes developing Khurais and Shaybah oil fields

03 Jul 2013

(MENAFN) According to sources, Saudi Aramco wants to develop Khurais and Shaybah oil fields that are currently under-producing, reported Arab News.

Aramco is eying an increase of 550,000 barrels per day (bpd) over the coming four years.

The new plans would lessen the pressure on Ghawar oil filed.

It is worth mentioning that oil-rich kingdom is not aiming to go over the current 12.5 million bpd production capacity through this new development.
