(MENAFN) German carmaker Audi reported 17 percent increase in Middle East sales to 701 vehicles in February compared to a year earlier, marking its best ever sales in the region, Arabian Business reported.
Notable best sellers were the Audi A8 L and Audi A6 models with cumulative 2012 sales for the A6 executive sedan up 104 percent on last year and the full-size luxury A8 witnessing a 66 percent increase, according to Audi.
Audi Middle East managing director Jeff Mannering said that with two record months in a row the combined figures represent our best-ever start to a year and a 12 percent increase over the same period of last year. Audi made a previous record in January with 8 percent increase in sales.
Audi’s global sales also rose by 16.6 percent last month to 106,600 vehicles compared to the same month of 2011.
