Bahrain added to Afganistan’s Safi network

23 Jun 2012

(MENAFN) Afganistan’s flag carrier Safi Airways will launch new flight service to Bahrain, as it aims at strengthening its presence in the Gulf region, Arabian Business reported.

The new route is part of a codeshare agreement with Bahrain’s state-backed Gulf Air who will operate an additional three flights per week.

The new service, which is to start on June 24, will bring Safi’s number of Middle East destinations to three.

Lloyd Carswell, chief commercial officer of Safi Airways said Safi Airways will place its flight number on the three flights operated by Gulf Air from Bahrain to Kabul, offering customers a choice of six weekly flights to and from the Gulf kingdom.
