(MENAFN) Bapco’s deputy chief executive, Ebrahim Talib, announced that in April, the Bahraini oil company will establish 2 new steam turbo-generators (STG) worth USD110 million, reported Gulf Daily News.
Talib said that the STGs, which are fully operational at the current time, were developed during the past 2 years and have a capacity of 14 megawatts, each.
Furthermore, the project will enhance operations and save costs, as well as improving the safety within the power plant.
It is worth noting that the project will be inaugurated by Finance Minister and Minister in charge of Oil and Gas Affairs Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
