(MENAFN) Bahrain’s economy registered a growth by 5.1 percent in constant prices and 4.7 percent in current prices during the July-September period of this year in comparison with the same period last year, Gulf Daily News reported.
The country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) also registered a growth during the third quarter of this year, growing by 1.7 percent in constant prices and 2 percent in current prices, while financial projects surged 3.5 percent in constant prices and 5.8 percent in current prices.
In terms of sector, the construction sector recorded a growth by 12.3 percent, while real estate grew by 3.3 percent, and the telecommunications sector grew 4 percent.
Other sectors like Electricity and water posted a slight growth of 2.6 percent while health services soared by 7.3 percent and the agricultural sector and fisheries grew by 4 percent during the July-September period of this year.
Meanwhile, the oil sector posted a 3.4 percent rate of growth in constant prices compared with the non-oil sector which grew by around 1.3 percent in constant prices.
