Bahrain non-oil sector increases by 3.9 percent

(MENAFN) Bahrain’s non-oil growth touched 3.9 percent in 2015, whereas whole GDP growth for the year was 2.9 percent.

Additionally, growth remained positive across all the non-oil sectors, with construction 6.4 percent, social and personal services at 6.9 percent.

On the other hand, the oil sector share of real GDP dropped to 19.7 percent, showing the success of Bahrain’s economic diversification efforts.

The whole value of the non-oil goods exports reached almost USD 17.5bn in 2015, while in 2010, the value of non-oil goods increased by almost 19 percent.
