Bahraini Bapco, US CLG sign agreements

01 Oct 2014

(MENAFN) Bapco announced it signed a technology license and engineering services agreements with US-based Chevron Lummus Global (CLG) which would enable CLG to provide process technology for two units as part of Bapco’s modernization program for the company, Gulf Daily News reported.

The agreement was signed mainly for CLG’s LC-FINING technology, which will be used in Bapco’s residue hydrocracking unit as well as CLG’s ISOCRACKING technology to be used in the new hydrocracking unit.

CLG will also work on the engineering design packages for the eventual installation of these technologies, which are the cornerstone of Bapco’s modernization program (BMP), due to these technologies helping in upgrading low value products to high value, high quality middle distillate products that meet globally stringent specifications.
