(MENAFN) Bahrain’s labour fund Tamkeen stated that its support for the Kingdom’s companies rose by 87 percent with total funding of USD120.5 million in 2012, reported Gulf Daily News.
In 2012, more than USD77.3 million were allocated for private sector support projects, whereas, more than USD43.2 million were spent on human capital development projects.
On behalf of the private sector employers, the company paid the unemployment insurance subscriptions that totaled USD40.6 million.
It’s worth noting that Tamkeen’s human capital development programmes are targeting over 100,000 Bahrainis, while, over 1,150 nationals got employed through the various training and human capital development programmes.
