(MENAFN) Banque du Caire aims to increase the interest rates provided on its saving vessels, involving saving accounts and deposits by rates, between 1.5 percent and 2 percent.
In addition, it also decided to introduce new savings vessels with a different yield linked to the price of the corridor proclaimed by the Central Bank of Egypt.
Meanwhile, the bank’s Asset-Liability Committee also discussed the different scenarios before settling on raising interest rates.
Moreover, the decision to increase rates comes as one of a number of measures taken by Banque du Caire to raise interest on saving vessels.
