(MENAFN) BMW Group Middle East director of sales and marketing, Alexander Eftimov, stated that in the January-September period, the company’s sales jumped 15 percent from a year ago to 15,805 units, reported Arabian Business.
Eftimov said that in August alone, the company’s sales in the Middle East posted the highest volume of 1,981 units, including BMW and MINI cars.
In the first 9 months of the year, sales of MINI grew 19 percent, with sales driven by the MINI Countryman, which represented 43 percent of the brand’s regional sales.
BMW’s biggest market in the region during the 9-month period was the UAE, which contributed with 48 percent of BMW and MINI regional sales.
On the other hand, sales in Jordan surged by 50 percent, followed by Oman with 40 percent, Kuwait with 31 percent, Abu Dhabi 30 percent, Qatar 19 percent, Lebanon 18 percent and Saudi by 14 percent.
