(MENAFN) BMW Group Middle East , managing director, Dr Joerg Breuer, announced that the company’s sales in the region climbed by 28 percent in the first 3 months of 2013 to a total of 6,303 BMW and Mini units, reported Arabian Business.
Breuer added that more than 50 percent of the German carmaker’s sales in the region were recorded in the UAE, with sales in Abu Dhabi reaching 1,906 units, and those in Dubai standing at 1,317 vehicles.
Moreover, sales of the Mini jumped 11 percent to 391 vehicles in 9 markets.
Sales of the BMW 5 Series reached 1,286 units, while sales of the BMW 7 Series reached 1,134 vehicles.
It is worth noting that in the quarter, sales of the company in Bahrain soared by 99 percent and surged by 56 percent in Kuwait, while those in Qatar jumped by 31 percent, and posted a growth of 24 percent and 12 percent in Jordan and Oman, respectively.
