BMW to recall 6900 vehicles in UAE

(MENAFN) UAE’s AGMC’s General Manager, Kevin Hughes, said that BMW AG would recall around 6900 vehicles in the UAE for repair, reported Emirates 24/7.

Hughes added that BMW is recalling nearly 1.3 million vehicles worldwide due to a possible problem with a battery cable cover in the trunk.

He also said that of the cars that would be recalled in the UAE, 4297 are in Dubai, adding that production dates of these cars range from 2003 – 2010.

On the other hand, he said that AGMC is contacting its customers in order to bring their vehicles in for checking, however, if required, checking and rectification would take around 30 minutes and would be free of charge.

It is worth noting that the recall is related to 5- and 6-Series BMWs, according to teh automaker.
