(MENAFN) BP plans to construct a plant for processing natural gas produced from the company’s block 16 in Oman, Times of Oman reported.
Undersecretary at the Ministry of Oil and Gas, Nasser bin Khamis Al Jashmi, said that the plant, which is part of a development plan, is to have the capacity of processing 1 billion cubic feet of gas a day.
The oil and gas giant signed a heads of agreement with the Omani government and an agreement for the full field development is expected to be signed before the year’s end.
