(MENAFN) Data showed that Brazil’s exports to the gulf region reached USD5.79 billion in the first six months of the year, with Qatar topping the list, as exports rose by 28.89 percent to USD195 million.
Among GCC countries, the UAE came second, with its share of exports rising 7.91 percent to USD1.289 billion this year from USD1.19 billion registered last year, the revealed data indicated.
Saudi Arabia came next, with an increase of 8.93 percent in its imports from Brazil, reaching USD1.29 billion in the January-through-June period, up from USD1.18 billion in 2014.
Meanwhile, exports to Egypt, Algeria, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait touched USD915 million, USD484 million, USD303 million, USD169 million, and USD111 million, respectively.
