(MENAFN) Canadian SNC-Lavalin won two district cooling contracts worth USD71 million in Saudi Arabia. The contracts have been awarded by the Saudi Dhahran Cooling Company and the Central District Cooling Company, Arab News reported.
The first contract, awarded by Saudi Dhahran Cooling Company, is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with an estimated worth of USD30.6 million, through which the Canadian firm wants to expand its district cooling facilities in Dhahran.
The second contract, awarded by the Central District Cooling Company, is also an EPC contract worth USD40.2 million, through which SNC is to expand its Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) district cooling scheme in Makkah.
Both contracts are awarded by two subsidiaries of Saudi Tabreed. “It gives us great pleasure to serve Saudi Tabreed and its subsidiaries on these strategic and critical infrastructure projects,” president of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc said in a statement.
