Careem looks to expand in Middle East

(MENAFN) The UAE-based chauffeur-driven car booking service based, Careem, is planning to invest USD1.7 billion to expand in the Middle East, Saudi Gazette reported.

“We are very excited to have STC Ventures as an investor and partner. This investment will accelerate our regional expansion plans and further strengthen our operating platform that needs to cater to relatively complex logistics of the region,” said co-founder of Careem, Mudassir Sheikha.

Careem now operates over 1000 cars in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as well as Riyadh and Doha.
