(MENAFN) Composite Pipes Industry (CPI) LLC has been awarded with a USD5 million contract by supply pipes for a pipeline for BP’s to Khazaan field project in Oman, Times of Oman reported.
The pipes to be provided by CPI are corrosion resistant and cost effective in addition to them not requiring maintenance and repair.
The general manager of the manufacturer of glass fiber reinforced plastic pipes said that the contract was awarded in September 2013 and it takes seven months for qualification testing and production.
The Khazaan gas field in the Sultanate is an important natural gas project with a huge investment.
