(MENAFN) US-based DaVita bought a controlling stake in Saudi-based clinic operator Lehbi Care, Arabian Business reported.
The kidney care provider will manage the three Lehbi clinics in operation in Riyadh and is planning to expand home-based facilities and build a vascular access center.
Lehbi Care currently treats 400 patients at three hemodialysis clinics throughout Riyadh.
A Fortune 500 company, DaVita is a leading provider of kidney care in the US, providing dialysis services to patients with chronic kidney failure and end stage renal disease.
It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia targets healthcare industry expansion. Saudi Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah in February launched a USD533.3 millio healthcare projects, including 16 medical centres and five medical warehouses, in the northwest province of Hail.
