(MENAFN) Qatar is expected to see a cement shortage by the following years as it plans to launch giant projects in the country, according to The Peninsula.
Qatari companies are still not ready to gear up capacity to meet the future demand, said Global Investment House (GIH) research analyst Faisal Hasan.
Faisal said: “Qatar National Cement Company announced a capacity addition of 0.93mtpa to 5.36mtpa recently. With no other major capacity addition announcements, GIH analysts feel Qatar has a major cement shortage scenario going forward.”
