04 Aug 2013

(MENAFN) Demand on the GCC flat glass is rising due to increasing demand. Demand is expected to rise by 7.1 percent annually up until 2016 hitting 9.2 billion square meters (sqm), according to a report released by Bowmedia Group.

Flat glass market value will come USD90 Billion in 2016 since demand is growing .

Glass demand is an excellent reflection of a countrys per-capita growth. As populations increase, the spending on new houses and glass increases correspondingly. Glass companies in the Middle East, and in particular, the GCC, are particularly at an advantage due to the manpower, raw material and strategic location to operate and export to anywhere in the world,” said Derek Burston of Bowmedia Group.
