(MENAFN) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced the completion of the initial phase of the water reservoir project in Al Lusaily, which has the capacity of 120 million gallons of desalinated water, reported Arabian Business.
The USD66.9 million project will boost the city’s water reserve to 790 million gallons to overweigh the daily consumption by locals.
Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of DEWA, stated: “The first phase of the project is completed, and we will begin the construction of the foundation as planned, before testing and launching two reinforced concrete reservoirs with a capacity of 60 million gallons each”.
