(MENAFN) Digitization initiatives in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) are forecast to add up USD820 billion to regional economy despite looming threats of cyber-attacks, according to Strategy&, Gulf Times reported.
The current digital marketplace in Mena is estimated to reach USD35 billion this year, Strategy& added, suggesting also to establish a central national cyber-security body (CNCB) to help maintain security.
“There is a growing gap between the capabilities of national stakeholders, both from the public and private sectors, and the capabilities of organizations and individuals sponsoring and executing cyber-attacks,” an official statement said.
