DP World net profit jumps 9.1 percent

(MENAFN) DP World, UAE-based ports operator, increased its profit in the first six months of this year due to improved margins and cost controls, The National reported.

Net profit in the six months period ended June 30 increased by 9.1 percent, despite a drop in goods volume from its 65 ports worldwide.

The company”s revenues in the first half dropped 1.3 percent down to USD1.51 billion, but the operating profit increased to USD278 registering a 6.3 percent.
