Dubai consumer prices down 0.2% in April

(MENAFN) Dubai Statistics Center announced that as a result of a decline in food prices, last month, consumer prices in the emirate dipped 0.2 percent from March, reported Emirates 24/7.

The agency said that food prices fell 1.6 percent compared with March, the largest decline in 3 months, however, housing costs, which represent around 44 percent of consumer spending, slipped by 0.1 percent.

On the other hand, it added that transport costs in April didn’t change from the previous month.

It is worth noting that consumer prices in April fell 1.5 percent from a year earlier.
