(MENAFN) Dubai’s Dnata stated that it has won contracts to provide ground-handling services at Zurich and Geneva airports in Switzerland, reported Arabian Business.
The company, one of the world’s largest combined air services providers, said that British Airways and Iberia, both International Airlines Group (IAG) carriers, were the parties that awarded the contracts.
It noted that the contracts would cover around 5,000 flights per year at Geneva airport and 4,500 at Zurich, adding that starting February, dnata will be in charge of providing passenger handling, ticketing, ramp handling and de-icing services.
At the start of 2012, dnata, which is owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), bought a majority stake in En Route International Ltd, a supplier of bakery and packaged food solutions with operations in London, the US and Dubai.
