(MENAFN) Passavant-Roediger, a European unit of Dubai’s Drake & Scull International (DSI), has been awarded two Romanian contracts worth USD24.5 million, combined, reported Arabian Business.
The first contract, worth USD11.56 million, will see the DSI unit designing and establishing a river water treatment plant in Sibiu that will produce drinking water for 200,000 people.
The company will set up new feeding pipes for conveying drinking water to Cisnadie and for refilling the water reservoirs from the Cisnadioara to Rasinari localities.
On the other hand, under the terms of the second contract, valued at USD12.92 million, Passavant will extend and update a waste water treatment plant in Roman, which supplies water for 115,000 people.
It is worth noting that DSI, which in November inked USD40.55 million worth of mechanical and plumbing contracts in Qatar and India, bought an 82-percent stake in Passavant-Roediger for USD39 million in 2009.
