(MENAFN) Dubai Duty Free reported an 11 percent growth in first half sales, resulting in USD772 million revenue, Arabian Business reported.
Perfumes and gold were among top category positions during the period. Perfume sales jumped 16 percent to USD114.32 million.
Confectionery sales also grew 18 percent to USD60.9 million, while sales of electronics were up 13 percent USD60.4 million, both representing eight percent of total revenue. Cosmetics’ sales rose by 18 percent.
The retailer saw spending across all its three airport terminals business continued to increase. Sales in Terminal 2 grew 18 percent, followed by 11 percent increase in Terminals 1 sales and 10 percent increase in Terminal 3 sales.
