(MENAFN) A report, issued by Dubai Statistics Centre, showed January consumer prices inflation rate in the emirate fell to 0.94 percent compared to December 2011. WAM reported.
The fall was driven by the decline in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages group to 3.18 percent. Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels fell to 2.19 percent. Miscellaneous goods and services dropped to 0.72 percent.
Recreations and culture fell to 0.52 percent. Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance fell to 0.46 percent, according to the monthly report.
The official data also showed that the two groups of Restaurants and Hotels and Communication saw a similar increase of inflation at 0.01 percent.
Health rose to 0.08 percent. Transport rose to 1.03 percent. Clothing and Footwear rose to 4.94 percent.
