Dubai to host a bigger version of Taj Mahal

04 Oct 2012

(MENAFN) Dubai-based Link Global Group unveiled plans to erect a replica of the world’s famous Taj Mahal in Dubai, Gulf Daily News reported.

The Taj Arabia, four times bigger than the original monument, will be built in the heart of the Falcon City of Wonders (FCW), a 41 million sq m multipurpose project coming up in Dubai.

The developer expected to complete the USD1 billion project in just two years. As Taj Mahal was an epitome of love, the bigger version will serve as the world’s grandest wedding destination, Chairman Arun Mehra said.

The new “City of Love” will be a five-star hotel property with 300 rooms. It will be flanked by seven mixed use buildings, two of which will have 200 serviced apartments.
