Dubai’s 2017 budget predicts USD681mn expenditure grow

(MENAFN) The Dubai government in the UAE proclaimed that its 2017 budget will foresee a deficit of USD681mn and 3 percent expenditure increase.

Furthermore, next year budget involves expenditure of 47.3bn dirhams and a deficit of 2.5bn dirhams or 0.6 percent of the GDP of the emirate.

Meanwhile, salaries will account for 33 percent of spending next year, whereas spending on infrastructure projects will grow by 27 percent compared with 2016.

The economy of the country, which is covered by foreigners, focuses on the finance, property, tourism and leisure sectors.
