(MENAFN) Dubai’s Abraaj Group’s managing director, Srisant Chitvaranund, stated that the investment company sold its stake in Thailand’s Unitrio to Japan’s NTT Facilities (NTTF), reported Arabian Business.
Chitvaranund added that Abraaj, which invests in emerging markets including Asia, Sub Saharan Africa and Latin America, bought the stake in the IT firm 3 years ago.
He said that Abraaj managed to benefit from the rapid growth in the domestic ICT market, noting that the amount of data center space in the Asian country is projected to double in 2 years.
It is worth mentioning that NTTF is a unit of Japanese telecommunications operator NTT and provides engineering services for data centers, telecommunications and commercial buildings.
