(MENAFN) Al Habtoor Motors, a subsidiary of the giant conglomerate Al Habtoor Group, unveiled plans to open 40 “Speed Fit” car repair garages across the GCC over the next two years, Arabian Business reported.
Managing director Karl Hamer said that in addition to the car repair garages, Al Habtoor Motors will also open a warehouse-style showroom for second hand cars in Dubai.
The Dubai-based firm will also invest up to USD816,564 on the fit-out of Car Zone, a new-warehouse style showroom, amid a rise in secondhand car sales, Hamer added.
The company aims to tap into the growing second-hand car business in the region, Hamer said.
He explained that Speed Fit, based on a similar model to UK-based Kwik Fit, will open its first branch in Dubai’s Ramool area and a second in Abu Dhabi.
Al Habtoor Motors, which owns franchise rights for car brands such as Mitsubishi, Bugatti, Bentley and McLaren, said car sales across all of its divisions are expected to grow this year.
