(MENAFN) Dubai-based frozen foods producer Al Kabeer Group unveiled plans to open USD13.3 million plant in Saudi Arabia, as it seeks to tap into the Kingdom’s hospitality surge, Gulf News reported.
Director of Al Kabeer Group Ahmad Khan was quoted as saying that the original idea was to build the plant in Dubai Industrial City, however, this was changed to Jeddah, with a 2,000-ton production capacity.
Khan explained that the group wants to benefit from the seasonal demand, especially during Haj (and) throughout the year for Umrah.
Khan added that the plant would supply ready-made food to the three, four and five-star hotels in Makkah and Madinah.
