(MENAFN) Dubai’s Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC) was granted a USD132.82 million contract by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to construct the Union Museum in Dubai, Emirates 247 reported.
Initiated in 2014, the first phase of Union Museum Building Project involves preparing the site, shifting and protecting artefacts and exhibits in the onsite buildings and constructing a six-meter high boundary wall, according to the chairman of RTA.
The projected museum is set to showcase the chronicles of the UAE and will be situated against the Union House. Under the contract, eight distinct sections, each identical and apt representatives of a specific historic period are set to be built.
