(MENAFN) Dubai-based package delivery firm Aramex posted a 15 percent increase in quarterly profit on higher revenue, Arabian Business reported.
The courier said it made USD17.9 million net profit during the last quarter of 2012, up from USD15.6 million a year earlier.
The company also reported a 20 percent increase in quarterly revenue to USD221.6 million from USD185.4 million a year ago.
The company attributed the higher results to the growth in e-commerce and stronger economies in the Gulf states and Asia.
As for full-2012, Aramex reported 15 percent growth in profits to USD66.44 million from USD57.6 million in 2011. Revenues rose 21 percent to USD816.55 million from USD748.5 million in the previous year.
