(MENAFN) Dubai World Central (DWC) officially started construction works at its Aviation District which will host the Dubai Airshow from 2013, Arabian Business reported.
The Aviation District will be constructed on a 6.7 sq km area within DWC, and was designed as a one-stop centre for all aviation-related operations.
Also, Majestic Wings Private Airplane Charter plans to move to the Aviation district within 12 months, making it among the first high-profile aviation companies to set up operations there.
DWC said that the company will occupy a 7,360 sqm plot within one of the district’s premium locations, and will build its own hangar facility.
DWC and Majestic Wings had earlier signed a USD5.44 million deal, in which Majestic will set up its own facilities to offer a full range of FBO services with a focus on business jets.
