(MENAFN) Dubai Elect and Water Authority (Dewa) proclaimed that 80 percent of the second phase of the Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is complete.
In addition, the globe’s largest solar park based on the Independent Power Producer model (IPP) will be developed at a total investment of USD13.6bn.
Furthermore, the Phase two will produce 200 MW of electricity by April 2017, while 75 percent of the 2.2mn photovoltaic panels have been installed.
Accordingly, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park has a capacity of 1.000 MW by 2020 and 5.000 MW by 2030.
