Dubai’s DM Healthcare to launch Aster Hospital in Qatar

15 Mar 2013

(MENAFN) DM Healthcare chairman and managing director, Dr Azad Moopen, stated that by 2015, the Dubai-based firm will open a 50-bed Aster Hospital in Qatar, reported Arabian Business.

Moopen said that the hospital project is scheduled to be operational by the middle of the current decade, and will be constructed by Al Estiana Real Estate Development.

He added that the multi specialty hospital will provide the latest in technology and medical expertise to provide tertiary care services.

The chairman noted that even though this facility is the company’s first Aster Hospital in Qatar, however, DM Healthcare had started its operations in Qatar in 2003 and at the current time it operates 6 medical centers, 6 pharmacies and 2 diagnostic centers in the Gulf emirate.

It is worth noting that DM Healthcare plans to spend USD300 million on expansion plans across the GCC that comprise two hospitals in the UAE.
