(MENAFN) Dubai-based DM Healthcare unveiled plans to invest USD461 million in Indian health sector, Arabian Business reported.
The firm said it targets 3,100 hospital beds in Kerala through implementing eight different projects.
The projects are in various stages of completion in Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Palakkad and Kannur districts, the company added, expecting them to be operational in the next five years.
One of the projects is Aster Medcity, a hi-tech healthcare destination being developed in over 40 acres of land that integrates nature with healing, in Kochi.
The first phase of the project will include a 550 bed Core Hospital with nine centres of excellence, expected to be operational in the second half of 2013.
In February, the company unveiled plans to expand its working staff by 11,000 over the next three years under plans to more than double its presence in the Gulf and India.
