Dubai’s dnata posts 700% hike in air cargo volume

(MENAFN) Dubai’s dnata’s vice president of cargo operations, Stuart Hayman, said that during the last financial year, air cargo volumes handled by the company soared 700 percent, reported Arabian Business.

Hayman added that the increase was recorded at dnata’s newest terminal, FreightGate-8, located at Dubai World Central (DWC)-Al Maktoum International Airport.

He also said that the air cargo volume reached 127,665 tons, adding that at the current time, the terminal handles local and sea-air export and import cargo, in addition to transit cargo at DWC.

It is worth noting that the number of active cargo flights handled by dnata hiked 600 percent from a year earlier to 2,832.
